Reading Visits Andover

On July 13, three librarians from Reading's reference department visited Memorial Hall Library in Andover. Many thanks to Assistant Director BethMazin for arranging the visit. Head of Reference Glenda Schaake provided the visitors with a great tour of the public and staff library areas. It is quite a maze through the staff areas but it all flows nicely.

Andover is developing some great display areas and we loved their rolling display carts. Great technology resources include a Canon MS400Microform Scanner and Kurzweil 3000 Software, a scanning and reading assistance software program. Among Andover's hot online resources are Mitchell's Auto Repair, Lois Law and Heritage Quest. Glenda and I share LJ as a favorite reference collection development tool.

Thanks for this great experience connecting with colleagues.
